Foreign Study: Tips and Tricks for Speaking Section in Exams

Hi, my name is Anusha and in this video, we are going to do read aloud and repeat sentences. In each read aloud, I will practice the way I do in the exam and then I’ll also perform the way I do in the exam. There are certain tips and tricks in order to get a 90 in the speaking section.

Tip 1: Positioning the Microphone

The first step is to place the microphone in the right position. For example, if you have headphones with a mic, the mic position should be parallel to the chin/jawline. Do not place it in front of the mouth or anywhere else too far. If the jawline doesn’t work out, you can place it on the nose level.

Tip 2: Click Next Immediately

Click next immediately after you speak. Waiting for the entire bar to finish can decrease your marks. Clicking next immediately can significantly improve your score.

Tip 3: Speak Fluently with Proper Speed

Speak fluently with proper speed. Breathe as if it’s not conspicuous. The computer should not be listening to your breathing sounds. Do not hesitate or pause randomly.

Read Aloud Questions and Repeat Sentence Questions

After this, I will demonstrate all the read aloud questions and repeat sentence questions. Please watch the video till the end and let us know if you have any comments or questions.
