An exclusive feature on Mahindra Auto by AutoCar India; Battista is the Car of Dreams; and more…
The year has begun with a bang for Mahindra Auto, which saw the all-new Thar bag the 2021 Autocar Car of the Year Award. Its success marks the start of a new chapter for the company, under the management of Dr Anish Shah, MD and CEO of the Mahindra Group, and Rajesh Jejurikar, Executive Director, Auto and Farm Sectors. The brand seeks to reinvent itself, starting with the product pipeline — it will launch 12 models in the next five years, focusing on an SUV-only model range. These will be powered by the state-of-the-art mStallion petrol and mHawk diesel engine families, which are package-protected to meet future norms. Electric vehicles (EVs) will also play a big role in the company’s future product strategy.
